About

Woonona Shala was born out of our love for community, of gathering people together, and of our deep reverence for diverse cultures, sacred traditions, and the power of music and mantra.

Ally and Anthony are widely traveled, with roots in Africa and a life of pilgrimages to explore the ancient cultures and belief systems of the South Americas, India, Greece, Egypt, Israel, Europe, Indonesia and the South Pacific.

We share the belief that the greatest feelings of devotion and change are born out of sangha (spiritual community), collaboration and unity. We are passionate about helping others to open into their truth and to live from their hearts.

Through this journey together, we embrace the profound truth of the interconnectedness of all living beings as sentient and interdependent threads woven into the mystical tapestry of life on this sacred planet.

Woonona Shala offers a secure and nurturing environment for individuals to connect, to laugh, to hug, to rediscover a sense of belonging and to feel into the language of community and Love.

With this in mind, the offerings of yoga, chanting, meditation, drumming, breathwork, holistic workshops and sangha, aim to remind you that you are your own healer, and together we can attune ourselves to the highest resonance of wholeness and harmony.

Yoga & Meditation Guide

Bhakta, Lover of Chanting

I am a dreamer… I dream of a world united through love, healed through spiritual consciousness, and celebrated through sharing rituals, movements, and songs. I believe in the philosophy and practice of yoga as a way of life, and I trust that feeling in this ancient yet never-aging practice cultivates our inner light. Reminding us of the interconnectedness of all things and the limitless love that we are. I am happiest co-creating an open-hearted space for everyone to meet on the mat where they are. And helping friends empower themselves by creating the space and the time to flow with the breath in the Divine dance of reciprocity with life itself. I am driven by the desire for every living creature to feel the essence of pure love and their connection to the Divine Oneness, the Power that drives us and everything around us. I truly am a dreamer….and all dreams begin and end together, opening our hearts and minds and letting our souls fly free.

Anthony

Musician, Djembe player,

Surfer, Our rhythm keeper

Ant is a percussionist who has a lifelong passion for rhythm and everything related to music. He deeply loves organic drums and, coming from an African background, he is a talented djembe player. His mission is to share the joy of rhythm and beat with as many people as possible, as often as he can. Being social at heart, this often leads to hours of fun and ecstatic joy on the drums with friends, old and new. Tapping into this ancient medicine with Anthony is so much fun, and his free spirit and love come through, guiding all those in the circle to connect with their own internal flame.

it is something inside to be realised."  - Osho

Jazmine

Yoga & Embodiment facilitator,

Mystic, Bhakta, Devotee of life

First and foremost, I am a dedicated student of yoga, with over 10 years of practice. I've devoted my life to sharing the nectarian wisdom of movement, yoga, mantra and social justice. I work as a yoga and meditation teacher, I see myself as a pollinator of people and a devoted seeker of sacred connection with all creation. My classes are a contemplative and creative exploration of the whole spectrum of yogic & embodiment practices. Offering gentle support and guidance to students as they remember themselves home, awaken their hearts, and learn how to relate to their body as a sacred vessel of life to connect with their inner wisdom. When I'm not teaching, you'll find me frolicking in nature, weaving, reading, at uni, or singing.
